Mike Hearod (314) 402-0853 mike@hearod.com 716 Country Stone Ct. Manchester, MO 63021 Experience: Tacony Corporation - Fenton, MO (April 2002-Present) Web Services Lead o Lead a team of developers, designers and programmers to design, build and maintain Internet based systems, Web sites as well as multimedia products and services. o Responsible for support, maintenance, development and creation of over 10 Tacony corporate Web sites for 7 national brands. o Designed user interface and modified 3rd party B2B boiler-plate JSP programming for www.amazingdesigns.com. Created Photoshop site layouts of multiple levels of site for approval and for smoothing out all complex product interface issues. Built HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and art for new site. Customized JSP (Java Server Pages) to integrate the new layout and entirely new interactive Web features, such as free downloadable sewing projects, events calendar, ticket system form, and more. o Researched and found 3rd party Web-based trouble ticket system and heavily modified it to centrally store, delegate and report on as many as 14 divisions at one time. The program originally only allowed one brand. After modifying the ASP code, HTML, CSS, and SQL tables it was scalable to handle unlimited number of brands and administrators, the form input fields and the display layout of the tickets were customizable by each brand individually using an intuitive AJAX drag-and-drop interface, and it could now track the number of seconds a support member spent on a ticket. A report screen full of ticket and employee monitoring stats was added allowing employees to work remotely and at flexible hours. o Designed new Web sites that receive up to 40,000 hits a day. Organized, streamlined and intermediated lowest level details between marketing and engineering groups to keep project moving efficiently and keeping the entire construction process transparent for executives to follow. Initial concept Web layouts and process flow charts made with Photoshop and Illustrator. Functioning prototype Web layout in HTML, ASP, CSS and JavaScript built with GoLive or DreamWeaver. Set up site on dedicated Web server in IIS 5/6. Created SQL database and designed table structure to be scalable for site in the future with relational tables. Built ASP administration sites to delegate content management of site. o Spearhead projects to integrate disparate systems through technology to build new products in new markets. Recently I led the team to introduce new CD-ROM and kiosk products to sell software products using XML over the Internet. The end user's CD-ROM would send XML data to a middleware secure Web site then server-side programming securely communicates to company mainframe using proprietary methods to conduct e-commerce transaction in real time. o Design artwork and animation for video presentations, flash interactive animations, Web banners, and DVDs. Used Photoshop, video and After Effects to create video animations. Used Encore DVD to build DVD menus. Macromedia Flash for interactive product animation and for streaming video product teasers and software instructions. o Author CD-ROM video tutorial products with Macromedia Director and QuickTime. Software usage videos captured with Camtasia. Audio narration recorded with high quality flash-drive audio recorder and professional microphone. Edit audio and video clips in Adobe Premiere Pro. Composite audio, video and titles in After Effects. Export movie clips to 1028x768 QuickTime. Import QuickTime movies into Macromedia Director project. Create installer for entire tutorial project (playback is better from hard drive versus CD-ROM). Build CD master for mass duplication and sales. o Contribute ideas for future developments to improve Web sites, CD-ROMs, DVDs, training videos, trade shows, and internal work flow processes. o Authored server side program to process a large number of images and convert them into thumbnails as well as automatically generate an organized Web contact sheet drastically reducing time and effort for ongoing tasks. Used ASP, ASPJPEG, ASPUpload and SQL for uploading large JPEGS, converting them to appropriate sizes, saving them to special folders with serialized names and then storing all the information in a SQL table. o Designed and authored contest sites for visitors to submit sewing projects to win prizes.
